Hi,
for that concert I was travelling from Berlin to Stuttgart by plane. Just after arrival at Stuttgart Airport on Monday evening I couldn´t believe my eyes as I met Spider Stacy, Andrew Ranken, Daryl Hunt and the maestro James Fearnley at the arrival gate. Damn that I didn´t ask for a photo. The concert on Tuesday was terrific. Compared to Berlin and Brixton Shane and the band were top as they used to be. The atmosphere at Stuttgart was very friendly, no problem to get near as possible to the stage. Great concert!!! Great show! All the best for the Pogues!
Cheers

I was there in Stuttgart yesterday. I am not sure if Shane was drunk or just ill from drinking all the years. Perhaps both drunk and ill. However - compared with some of the recordings on the box set or with some interviews he sang really really clearly, he knew the words, he didn't fall. I was really surprised how well he sang. I would have never expected this. Not just that he is back on stage at all, he is a good singer again. The music was great as I expected it to be but Shane's singing was the cherry on top of a cream cake as we say in Germany, almost Hell's ditch level. Go there and listen - really really impressive. My first Pogues gig ever after having known them for 23 years and it was all worth driving 400 km.
