this reviewer is obviously just a detached observer & not a fan. it's shane macgowan for fucksake, not frank sinatra with perfect phrasing or something! it's part of his immense charm. shaney looked great & dare i say it: relatively healthy. believe me, i've caught him a time or two when it was not thus.

I just read that review and I first saw the pogues in 88 89 90 sometime around then, when they opened for the violent femmes or REM...and i think every fucking review has been the same since. POGUE MAHONE bitches.
