I have actually heard someone trying to sing along to Sally MacLennane at a Bruce Springsteen gig. But that's another story.

I took the liberty of abbreviating the songs as feeling a bit lazy after sensory overload of Institute of Art and Pogues gig the day before. At least I did not use " DOG" in my haste, which has left people scratching their heads in the past.

She sure was. And to this day it's still her favorite song.

Thats lovely. I dont know what is more the honour, having Phil dedicate a song to your daughter or for Phil to know that she has been named after one of his songs :)

That 10 year old girl, Lorelei, is my daughter and she thoroughly enjoyed her first live show. I don't think she stopped smiling after the shout out until we made it back to the hotel and she finally crashed. It was a fantastic night and, as always, worth the trip. It was another in a long list of great Pogues memories for me, and it was the first of hopefully many great Pogues memories for her.

Thanks for the pictures. Wildly jealous, of course. I do not want to go to my grave before having seen Mr C do his dance in his kilt.

And someone seems to have persuaded Shane to accept some light on stage.

Happy Birthday, KwaK. And of course, Cdn Steve!

Here are the two (very poor) pictures I took with my phone...pretty much to show the view we had from the VIP balcony as much as anything. Wish I had better shots, but them's the breaks...

I don't remember at what point I took the first pic, but the second was taken during "Tuesday Morning". I was hoping to take advantage of the increased stage lighting to get a better pic!
