White Rabbits, wasn't it?

That sounds correct.

I liked them live better than I like their CD.

Can not think of short and sweet / better way to describe a Urban Voodoo Machine live set than the above .But the year would be out.
Quote " 2008 was spent in the studio in London, recording their first full length album. They hit the road again in March to perform with The POGUES on their USA tour (by personal invitation of Spider Stacy). Which in turn led to them being offered the full UK & Ireland X-Mas 2008 tour with The Pogues....." end quote from http://theurbanvoodoomachine.com/content/?page_id=261

The description sounds like the Urban Voodoo Machine (http://theurbanvoodoomachine.com/content/).

I don't recall them opening in the USA, but they did open for all the UK shows a year or two back.

I'm looking for help in identifying the name of the opening band for the Pogues at the 9:30 Club--I think it was in 2006. (I've seen the Pogues a few times and so I'm not sure what year it was, but I think it was 2006). They had two drummers, including one who was wearing an old-fashioned undertaker's hat and wearing ghoul makeup. Their bass player was dressed as a priest. And at the beginning a scantily-clad woman came on stage and hit a gong. Any idea who this was?
