Yes, it's a Godin electro-acoustic which I bought about 20 years ago, and it's one of the most reliable of its ilk on the market. It used to be my main guitar around the time of
Hell's Ditch and
Waiting For Herb, which is why, I suppose, I still use it on "Sunnyside" - apart from "Tuesday Morning" [which was always electric] the only song we still do from that era. When we reformed, I was experimenting with Martin electro-acoustics and found I preferred the slightly more malleable dynamic response they give, and though I do need to use a rubber soundhole baffle [sounds naughty, but isn't] to prevent feedback, I have continued to prefer the classic dreadnought Martin. Martins had been in serious danger of getting left behind in the electro-acoustic wars, so I was pleased to find they had caught up. I was never really happy with Ovations, Takamines and so on, because I felt they imposed their own characteristics too much on top of the acoustic guitar sound. The Godin and the Martin are the only two I've ever been really happy with, though I've been using a Gibson at home for the past two years and that might put in an appearance at some point.
Apart from "Sunnyside", the Godin now mainly functions as a spare in case I break a string on the Martin during the show. But it's only fair I confess that from a purely sonic-technical point of view, our FOH man Paul Scully is a big advocate of the Godin over the Martin, a tussle he is never likely to win. I'm afraid I didn't quite catch your last word - is it Latin? I was rubbish at Latin, as my English spelling frequently demonstrates.
