I thought philip always said in here that The Pogues will play anywhere, given that someone makes a serious offer to their promoter (obviously)
and that the place isn't too
HOT... which wasn't certainly the case in Milan saturday, as you can guess (italy+june+pollution+sunny day+indoor show...). As usual in there the ventilation was off or far too inefficient and oxygen was only a dream.
But anyway, who cares when you get to see Flogging Molly, Gogol Bordello, Social Distortion and The Pogues in a row? Who
cares, I say.
I realized only after straight to hell, when the boys came up on stage, that I was going to see the band in its original lineup! And I'm not talking about the one in the center, but about the one who plays the guitar, which I hadn't had the pleasure to see in december '09
. I really liked the show, everyone seemed in good form, and when I say everyone I mean... everyone! I had the impression that every song was played a little slower than usual, but apart that it was splendid, and awesome to see The Pogues so close to home. Thanks for touring europe again! And see you next year...
