After my father passed away last year, I was going through some old pictures and found some pictures from an Irish Music cruise. Some great pictures of my dad with Tommy Makem and Liam Clancy. Story was that Shane had written Broad Majestiic Shannon for Makem and Clancy, but they never recorded it. Thankfully, at one of Liam Clancy's last performances he does a wonderful rendition of it, name dropping Shane throughout the song.
