"Mama Lou" is by Shane & The Popes. It comes from the Crock Of Gold demos and appears on some of the compilations that are circulating among the fans (eg. "Back In The Pub Golden Sessions"), but I don't think it has ever been officially released.

Thanks in advance.

I've not heard of The Pogues performing a song called "Mama Lou" (not syaing it didn't happen, but I don't know about it).

"Got A Lot O' Living To Do" came from NME's "Last Temptation of Elvis" collection.

I like "Hotdogs With Everything", I've just got hold of it myself (as Mr C points out, it is indeed on the 12" of "Haunted"). It's not on the 7" - that just has "Junk Theme" on the flip - which is also a rather cool track. The 12" has both "Junk" and "Hotdogs".

I think I prefer the original "Haunted" to the later version which Shane did with Sinead O'Connor. Though that's also great. At least I think so.

I'm not sure where either/both of them happen in the movie, as I've not seen it since the premiere, but I've a feeling one of them is heard on a car radio briefly. "Hot Dogs" was on the b side of "Haunted", on the 12" at least, but did not make it to the Soundtrack CD. Obviously both numbers are prime candidates for the Pogues Treasure Chest in due course.

excellent news pc, would love to own those tracks in the near future and mabye also some demo stuff ??
any idea when the treasure chest may be released philip ??

oh, and got my tickets for the manchester gig, cant wait !

To tell you the truth, material is still coming to light and some of the people on this very Forum have been helping to find some of it. As we're encountering better quality versions of some recordings all the time, I think it's worth hanging on for. See you in Manchester.

Oh well all good things and all that. Philip, out of intrest apart from the tressure chest what other things are in the pipeline?? I know there is word on a live dvd and i also see poguevision is being released. Anything else???

Haven't seen the movie for some time either, but iirc it is "Haunted" that is heard on a car radio while "Sid" and "Nancy" are in a taxi, while "Hot Dogs" is in the background in a scene with Sid on some roof - playing with a gun or something.

IIRC it is Spider on vocals and Shane on backing vocals. It's from the Soundtrack for "Sid & Nancy" that has been released on CD a couple of years ago and should be available via amazon I guess.
