I noted the gentleman with the RRFM stuff had a demo of The Rocky Road To Dublin. As this didn't make the album would love to hear Shane sing that Red Roses style ( an instrumemtal version made it onto IISFFGWG)

Red Roses Demos/Treasure Chest ?

Post by jpdca Sat Nov 06, 2004 1:34 pm

OK -

So earlier this week while browsing through the usual posts on the shanemacgowan.com forum, I came across a post where someone wrote that they'd found some tapes recently with some demos from the Red Roses sessions!

Does anyone have any information on these demos, or for that matter any other demos from the early period which may exist?

In light of the Clash just reissuing London Calling with the Vanilla Tape disc, I think that a Pogues demos disc would be a great addition to the Treasure Chest box set that is supposed to come out next year......

I guess it would also be good if for once, if us fans who wanted to hear this stuff could....I know that other demos are hoarded away by elitists who won't trade them or share...
