No, we actually have a pretty diverse sound (if I do say so myself...) with a bunch of traditional American influences in addition to the Celtic and nautical-type sounds. We do enjoy a bit of the pirate-y stuff but realized early on we didn't want to get pegged as a novelty band... the video (which is from 2005 or so) is probably the last real 'pirate' thing we've done.

I grew up with a lot of traditional music (my parents were heavily into folk & trad sounds, and my dad is a pretty decent guitar/banjo picker), but it wasn't until a friend handed me a cassette of 'Rum, Sodomy & The Lash' in 1990 that the lightbulb went on. Hope to see the Pogues (with Philip Chevron this time!) in Seattle again -- be sure to ring us if you need an opener
