It was pretty much just the "Essential Clash" DVD with pledge breaks.

I was wondering if anyone on this forum knew of an informative link on how PBS is funded. I still think
they do some wonderful things, however their importance as an alternative to commercial TV has
lessened with the proliferation of cable TV in the last 20 years or so.

I am also curious about the auxillary income that all the Tickle Me Elmos, et. al produce for PBS.
I know I contributed a few bucks to the Clash back in the day-books, albums, concert tickets, but
I am sure it is nothing like the money Kevin Clash (aka Elmo) has made off me in the last couple of years

Is your local PBS having a fund raising drive? That's what was going on in Boston and then a week later I noticed it here in San Diego. Call them and see when/if they are going to run it. They are clearly counting on those of us (of a certain age) that might feel nostalgic and have a spare tiny American dollar in our pocket. Still, it was the best Friday night spent at home ever!

The state high school basketball tournaments are dominating the network right now so there is no fund raising drive at the moment. I can't wait to see it.

I see. Well save your tiny, tiny American dollars (they are shrinking so fast!) because i'm sure a pledge drive is right around the corner for you! Basketball is not forever, we are well into March.
