The man gets everywhere. He will stop at nothing.

In fairness, that track he recorded with The Chieftains was probably the best thing he's ever recorded as a solo artist, so he'd better be a booster.

I've had the w/ Tom Jones version of "Tennessee Waltz" stuck in my head for 2 days, driving my kids nuts.

Just given a very early heads up...In the NJ/NY area.
Making it possible to see the Pogues and The Chieftains within a few days (hopefully) of each other ????

The Chieftains have been booked at The State Theater in New Brunswick NJ prior to Paddy's Day weekend this year on Sunday March 14, 2010

Prior to that the only other US date I see at this time is Friday Feb 19, 2010 @ Marin Veterans Memorial Auditorium at Marin Center in San Rafael, CA

I have the Essential Chieftains and also Long Black Veil, featuring Van Morrison, The Rolling Stones, Sting, and Sinead O'Connor to name a few. Love the song with Sinead O'Connor, The Foggy Dew, just beautiful.

To make an ambush under Christmas tree, with rifle and grenade, and take aim at fire-place... I'd join you. To organize supply from mainland (aka kitchen)

Always wanted to go to that, but I'm afraid I can't do those dates this year. :(
