Faith, Hope and Carnage

Extract from Nick Cave's new book base on conversations with Sean O'Hagan. Posted here mostly because there's a good 1989 pic of Cave, O'Hagan and Mark E. Smith with Shane included.

I had to share this review with my Facebook friends to help them understand the fascination Mrs. Cadillac and myself have with Mr. Cave. I have seen him 4 times now, first with Grinderman and then the last 3 US tours. I have to say this year's show in Minneapolis ranks in my top 5 of all time for music events, and mind you I have seen the Pogues 17 times.

Thanks for posting 8)

Seconded. I've only been fortunate enough to see Mr Cave 1.5 times (once at a proper gig, the 0.5 from a distance away at a festival, and it was a comparatively short and strange set). The one full performance would make it into my top 5 or 6 too.

Excellent stuff. And the sort of stage lighting that would probably be acceptable to Shane.

But I'm even more damn annoyed not to have tickets now.

One of my girls will be representing me at the Manchester gig, however.
