Sadly, I never saw him live either, but I caught Strummer on many occasions.

"long shadow"s a pretty good song. it would have been nice to hear jc's interpretation. it sounds like somethig he really could have made his own. maybe a slower tempo. a lower key. i can almost here it. or maybe even the same key and tempo. just the addition of his voice would've made it growl at you.

yea that unearthed stuff is amazing. and the "american" albums. "mercy seat" is fucking great. a man i met in dublin turned me on ( :shock: ) to the song. "i see a darkness" is another great one. dark and depressing but incredibly good. the list goes on and on....
