I notice changes in lyrics here and there with musicians, and I always chalk it up to "songs are a living thing - they occasionally change, whether instrumentally/vocally or lyrically."

Edit: oh, I'm a jackass. I misread, but it could be from a lyric sheet with the album, which I also have noticed every now and again. The lyric sites seem to usually be submitted by anybody who cares to do so, so it could be a typo or it could be from a lyric sheet that might have been either changed before the recording or had typos.

I am a Paul Weller fan and have recently purchased a boxed set of his work as a solo artist - some live and some recorded for the BBC sessions.

A song that means a great deal to me is 'Hung up'.

The lyrics on the recordings on these CD's seem to have one changed sentence - which makes all the difference. In lyrics recorded on web sites they all state differently to these recordings too.

On the recordings I have, he clearly sings:

Waiting for the moment
That will take me by surprise

but on lyrics sites and other recordings he sings

Waiting for the moment
Keep on looking for a sign

Just wondered why this is, did he change it and why or are there two versions?
