If this hasn´t come up so far: there is a great german version of "Fairytale" by BAP & Nina Hagen called "Weihnachtsnaach". Available on Maxi-Cd or on the BAP-Cd "Amerika".
Another german singer from Cologne, Zeltinger, has released two Pogues-covers in german on his album "Solo plaat": Summer in Siam (Summer en Thailand) and House of the gods (Poller Wiss).
And german band Leinemann (who got a bit of fame when playing with Lonnie Donegan lots of years ago) did a german cover version of "Fiesta" called "Es steht ne Kiste Bier in Spanien". I just have it as a 7" - dunno if it was ever released on LP or CD.
And, a bitt off Pogues-topic, german Band Torfrock did a fantastic cover of Steve Earle´s Copperhead Road ("Kettenhemd" on their CD "Goiler Tonträger".
