The James West Band (shameless plug)

Post by IrishJim Mon Oct 30, 2006 8:52 pm

Sorry to sing my own praises, or toot my own horn, but I really wanted to share this with other Pogues fans...

My band is a joint venture. I play regular gigs solo in Virginia, and I have great musicians from New York that join me on occasion. We get pretty great reponses, especially in the bars in New York. My solo website is www.jameswestmusic.com, and the band page is on MySpace.

I have my solo CD for sale on the website and on iTunes... sold several tracks through iTunes UK, I was surprised at that. The CD is mostly folk/trad stuff, with a couple of originals. The live show is always chock full of drinking and rebel songs, and quite a few Pogues covers. In fact, one of our live songs on MySpace is a version of Sally MacLennane!
