Yeah, on the Eternity there are certain songs played in a unique way (a very good one). This is certainly the best live album I´ve listened to (Pogues in Great woods, 89' are pretty good though:-)).

Although I've been slightly disappointed by London Calling (I got Eternity into my grasps after watching Pogues Live in CC - where they play London Calling...just incredibly well).

I was lucky enough to see The Clash 3 times in my life.Once on Give Em Enough Rope, once for London Calling & one very famous night at Bonds NY.They wound up playing almost 3 weeks straight at the former department store(where I had previously seen The Plasmatics & also The Stray Cats when only the Runaway Boys single was the only release).Anyhow, they played 2 nights, then the NYC fire dept shut the club down for over selling & over crowding. They literally kicked every one out of the club that night & cancelled the next nights show. All of the officials got their shit together & 2 nights later, they regrouped & started back up.We had no tix but HAD to go.Being the entepreneurs that we were back in those days,we traded plastic bags of leaves(I'm sure you know what I mean)for 2 tix & stood right in front of the PA by Jonesy.A memorable night, for sure!!

Fantastic record - agreed....however I think I've read somewhere that Mick Jones actually went back into the studio prior to the album's release to brush up some of the guitar parts and backing-vocals....Organically, I'm sure that the sound of some of those shows is still nothing but amazing - with the extras recorded over for the release, we get a full on sound.

The Pogues' live disc sounds awesome just the same.
