Started out at 6 in the local pub, the burnt post, Young Moose was on his school camp, water proofs were duly worn as it was pissing down. However this gave me and Mrs Moose the chance to go out for the night, hence the 6 o'clock start in the BP.
Moderate??!!!! amounts of alcohol were consumed and the decision was taken to go to the godiva festival which is a ten minute walk away. Off we trotted and the clouds openned ,our thoughts of young Moose camping in this weather gave us some concern.....untill we reached the beer tent. the young fella is made of sturner stuff.
The first band we saw were very good however we do not know what they were called and although they played their instruments very well, we listenend to 3 songs and none of them sang, very peculiar. our next visit found us in the reggae tent with a local band blasting out some excellent reggae sounds, we enjoyed this very much as did many others including modern skin heads who were approximately 18 years old.
Finally we found our selves at the main event of the evening which was...... can you believe it the Human League....Oh how them 80's memories came flooding back.
Never being a huge fan of " New romantics" credit where itis due they done a wonderful gig which was well appreciated by all there.
By this time the heavens had well and truely opened and it was time to return to the Burnt Post.
Young Moose was still camping out, Mr and Mrs Moose were well and truely inebriated and really looking forward to Saturdays line up....and more blog will follow if you guys want to read it.
