I'm afraid it may just be you mate. Works fine for me.

DZM will probably be able to offer techie advice along the lines of do a tepid restart, defragment your malware defender, reboot the sprocket rocket, turn down the half shaft cam shaft, your version of windows may have smallpox.....that kind of thing....

Thanks for the replies Soulfinger and DZM.

Still not loading on laptop ,but. Tried it on fire tablet and it works fine.

The site takes about 10s to load for me. Most of the slowdown seems to come from a huge amount of cross-linking to external sites, and a large amount of JavaScript that gets evaluated between 3s and ~9s. Something that they're doing also causes the browsers to allocate a lot of memory (probably causing your to go to swap memory instead of RAM. Swap memory is very, very slow.)

Not much you can do about it really. The site owner needs to look into trimming a lot of the third-party things they're loading by default. Until they do their web page will be slow loading and feel crappy when you try scrolling (if you can load it at all).

Some good stuff there, and the Brixton review brought back some great memories, especially given the lack of gigs this December. Thanks for posting. 8)
