Illustration and Listing in "The New Yorker"

Post by sheva Sun Feb 19, 2006 3:33 am

Don't know if anyone's mentioned this yet, but the current issue of The New Yorker (Feb 13-20 - "The Anniversary Issue") has a mention of the band in the "On The Horizon" section. Below a great little illustration featuring caricatures of Shane, James, Philip, Jem, and what looks like some sort of hybrid of Daryl and Spider is the following listing for "Night Life":

Fall From Grace - March 16-19

The long-running, hard living Irish punk band the Pogues has put itself back together and is coming to the Nokia Theater Times Square for at St. Patrick's performance. The band's front man, Shane MacGowan, is expected.

The Pogues in The New Yorker - fancy that...
