Hard not to get worked up about that. I mean, i guess i could accept a comment that it didn't "fit", but "padding"? Really? Great song, was always one of my favourites from P&L right from first listen. Damnit.

Nice long article. We all know Petridis (and the Guardian in general) like the Pogues. But surprisingly no mention of the effort Philip put into all this, or actually of his role in the Pogues.
