Thanks. Yes it's my copy taped off the radio and resurrected as part of my current project. Will update with the correct title. Who wrote the song?

No idea, sorry! Good one, though. Anybody else know the source of this song?

RTE Session - 1980-09-09 - FM Radio
Quality-> A- (9.1/10) Not the best FM I've ever heard, but still quite good, and very rare.
Set List:
01 Tennessee Stud (electric version - shared lead vocals)
02 I Don't Know About Love (Woods lead vocal - Lynott backup vocal)
03 Company Man (Woods lead vocal - Lynott back up vocal)
04 Tennessee Stud (acoustic version w/o Lynott)

Can someone have a listen to this track and confirm it's source?

PS Where could I listen to the rest of the session?

Have now enjoyed the Doc Watson version, ta for the heads up low. Hi Territa, have been busy with little Ella lately so not much time to post, we're a bit more used to it all now though which should provide a little more time for arsing around on the net!

?! I'd never heard of such a session. Anyone know more? Anybody have a copy, please do PM me...

Terry sounds even more rocking on this than the recorded version. The notes to this say "Tennessee Stud" played live on Radio on 11 September 1980. This is a couple days after the classic sessions Phil Lynott and Terry Woods played for RTE.

Nice. This has Phil Lynott singing as well.

ya know, I'm a little surprised we're the ones to bust this story open here. You'd think someone would have mentioned this collection by now... It's not exactly new, a 1992 release. And a really good one, at that. from rockabilly to -- what is that stuff at the end? (Not to mention a Radiators' release I'd never heard before, with Philip ala Bowie.)

***MacRua is searching the archives as we speak... that's okay, I'll be the first to admit it -- I Do Not Use the Search Button -- xxx ***

The Chiswick Story? Good label. At one time or another, apart from myself and Shane and Terry, they also had Kirsty, Joe Strummer, the Damned, Motorhead, Ron Kavana.................
