There was West Coast Tour in 2007. And Young Ned was on the list.

Wouldn't that be a bonus! I love the video on You Tube when the band go into a reggae jam at the end of it. Imagine he pulled South Australia out of the hat.... 8) It's a huge loss Terry not singing...

Absolutely. I remember Young Ned... as a highlight, if not the highlight, of the 2004 shows, and the ones I've seen that included it since. Can't remember at this moment when precisely it slipped out of the set, but it is a great loss.

I think it was last played in Lokeren in 2007. As it wasn't in the Xmas gigs that year and I believe that was the last of the shows they did before that. It was a highlight for me that night!

Ach! If you can't be unsympathetic to mercury poisoning here, where can you be?

Merry Christmas

I missed the post in the Theatre thread - I can see Mercury Poisoning will be the ailment for 2009. For me, I saw 2 threads about Terry not singing and wondered if it was because he sings 2 tunes in the set list?

Yes. In the interests of complete accuracy, I should mention that Terry just had "man flu", whatever that is, not mercury poisoning. Much as I would love to jest that there's a lot of it going around, my post was a slightly giddy and almost irresistible response to news of Jeremy Piven's indisposition, about which I had just done posting in the "theatre" thread. I knew I would end up having to explain it. I wonder if David Mamet will spend today explaining his thermometer joke?

He hasn't played since Shane fucked up in Manchester. Posts on this forum said he looked totally pissed of at that gig. Is anything to be read into this?

Terry is suffering a bad bout of mercury poisoning and left the band briefly to consider a career as a thermometer. However, it didn't really work out and I'm advised he did today's technical rehearsal and is likely to play tonight.

Terry is grateful to Norbert Leo Butz who has been standing by just in case and expresses his thanks to those of you who sent get well wishes rather than idle speculations.

That'll be $509.67 thank you

Thanks Philip, that's put me back in my box. I'll try not be idle again for too long.

Yes, I think that was mentioned a while back on the forum. Seems lots of people miss "Young Ned." I certainly do.
