Just looking up which album Terry was one, and had a great laugh at their allmusic description:

...performing throughout Europe in collaboration with artists such as the Chieftains and Italian rock vocalist Bob Geldof.

Gosh, was always wondering where Sir Bob got that accent he smears all over his rock songs.

Speaking of Modena City Ramblers: there is a very funny version of their Bella Ciao by a Japanese ska group, Doberman.

Kirk might know them.

I haven´t posted here for a long time but felt an urge to do so after visiting one of my favourite band´s website and learnt that Terry Woods is playing on their new album!!

I did not get the opportunity to listen to the new album yet but I can do nothing but recommend the band as they are really great.. Kind of rebellic, folk (irish/italian) superband of 9 persons.

Here are some videos:

And with Mr Woods also:

And their website: http://www.ramblers.it/home/home_1.asp?idpag=17

Tcháu from a warm Brasil!

saw them live near the border with Switzerland. Most of them songs feature Pogues music: "Contessa" has the melody of "The old main drag", while "Il bicchiere dell'addio" has the same intro as "Body of an American" and so on. They are quite good anyway, and can boast collaborations with Billy Bragg and the Boomtown Rats bloke, Bob Geldof.
