Well, it's arrived, and I'm playing it right now...

It actually sounds not unlike the better post-Shane Pogues output. It's good - I was expecting a folkier sound but it's quite rocky. Terry sings on the A side.

B-side next... hang on...

Whooooooooaaa now this is good. Gay sings on the B-side, "The Reward", a much folkier acoustic track. I like this a lot. Reminds me of Richard & Linda Thompson. Which is definitely a good thing.

Yep, it was a bargain, for sure.

I rate the B-side the better of the two tracks but I reserve the right to change my mind when I've played it a few times!

I did laugh, if only a little bit.

It hasn't arrived yet (with the Easter break coming up it's likely to be next week now). I've never seen it on Ebay before (or indeed anywhere else) and I was surprised to see it stay at £1 - to be honest I didn't expect to win the auction but I'm happy I did. I'm building a collection of Pogues and related 7" singles (in particular) so I'm glad I snagged this one.

Once it arrives I'll post again and let you know how it sounds. I'm quite excited actually, can't wait to get my mits on it.
