Early gig photos

Post by James McLaren Mon Mar 30, 2009 9:30 am

Hi everyone
I'm on a mission which you may be able to help with.
I work at BBC Wales and we have done an interview for the BBC Wales Music website with a guy who put on The Pogues in 1984 for one of his many benefit shows for the Miners Strike. It's a really interesting interview and he talks with a lot of affection about that particular show. What I want to do though is integrate a photo or two of the band in that era into the video. I can't find any commercially-available photos and so I was hoping someone on here might own some suitable shots.
Any help is very very gratefully received - it's the last piece of the jigsaw before I can put it live.
The site is here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/music
but if you want a bit more information about the miners' strike benefit shows, there's already a page with an interview we've done with Billy Bragg:

Thanks, and all the best
James McLaren
