I'm on a mission to fish out all the rare guest appearances & solo albums by members of the Pogues that are difficult to remember where they actually are on my HD. It's mainly guest appearances I struggle to remember with though but any input would be welcome.

Here's what I've found so far but I'm sure there will be much more that I've lost track off.

These below are mainly all albums containing contributions by Pogues members

1988 - Talking Heads - Naked (Ft James Fearnley)
2003 - Blankass - L'Homme Fleur (Ft Spider Stacy)
2004 - Haunted Weather. Music, Silence And Memory (Ft Jem Finer)
2005 - Rough Trade Shops: Counter Culture 2004 (Ft Jem Finer)
2006 - Street Dogs - Fading American Dream (Ft James Fearnley)
2007 - Autumn Leaves: Field Recording and Soundscape Compilation (Ft Jem Finer)
2007 - Dropkick Murphy's - The Meanest of Times (Ft Spider Stacy & Ronnie Drew)
2011 - Gypsy Hotel - Volume 1 (Ft Spider Stacy)
2012 - Brad Mehldau - Where Do You Start (Ft Cait O' Riordan & Elvis Costello)
2012 - In Support of Tom Carter (Ft Spider Stacy)
2015 - The Mysterious Wheels - Reach out Hold On (Andrew Ranken)
2017 - The Fools The Fools The Fools (James Fearnley)
2017 - Lost Bayou Ramblers - Kalenda (Ft Spider Stacy)
2021 - Avon Faire - South Australia (Ft Cait O' Riordan)
2022 - The Mahones - Jameson Street (Ft Terry Woods, Phil Chevron, & Ronnie Drew)
2022 - The So So Glos - This Could Be Christmas (ft Spider Stacy)
2022 - Richard Dev Greene - Wish the World Anew (Ft Cait O' Riordan)

*Note*

I already have a folder of all of Shane's collaborations

I have this CD which credits Shane being on it but I've played it and no sign of Shane. Any idea anyone?

https://www.discogs.com/release/1233418 ... Live-Seeds

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds – Live Seeds (1993, Photo Book w/ Slipcase, CD) - Discogs
Issued in a slipcase card package that includes Peter Milne's photo book (60 pages, compiled by Mick Harvey and Katy Beale) and a standard jewel case with a single-page artwork insert.

Here is the artwork that mentions Shane

What if we had some kind of love ballad that wasn't hateful and wasn't seasonal? We would totally make bank!" It never struck me as a song that anyone involved in seemed particularly excited to be a part of (of course it bears pointing out that this is only my opinion - I have literally zero insight to the behind-the-scenes of it and, for all I know, Shane considers this song to be his peak of creativity and songsmithing).

I think it might be for the fact that Michael Kamen the composer and conductor of movie soundtracks wanted it done this way for the official movie soundtrack

Found another version on a CD I have & it's a completely different more raw & rocky version on it ;-) 3.45 mins

https://www.discogs.com/release/2167606 ... lcome-Home

It even has Shane's hiss at the end

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPnqQjm ... owan-Topic

And here's another version 3.24 mins seemingly? This could possibly be the movie edit.

https://www.discogs.com/release/1130587 ... re-The-One

And here's the official video release for the 3 versions I had checked previously which are all identical

Cheers for pointing me in the right direction

I wonder if it's just for the actual movie edit?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RohiUZB ... l=jenbob67

As all my versions are the exact same

The single
The Snake
Circle of Friends Soundtrack

Even though the CD single disc shows as 3.24 mins it's actually 3.56 min

I already have the one with Suzy Duffy. I should have mentioned that.

It was a slightly different version featuring Máire Brennan seemingly. I thought I'd seen a thread previously that the movie version was slightly different :?:

I'm sure I read somewhere on this forum that there was 2 different versions or You're the One (Not including the Instrumental)

Any clues anyone?

https://www.discogs.com/release/1131450 ... re-The-One

I've no idea how to find the thread I'm referring to but hopefully one of you PC wizards can point me in the right direction.

I can't seem to spot a difference with any the of the versions I have
