This thread reminds me of work. We start rumors that there should be a buyout/retirement package offered for us older employees, in the hope that someone higher up thinks this is a good idea. Unfortunately, I don't know if anyone connected with the band ever visit the Raft.

I can't see another show happening, but we live in hope. Going back to the other half of my question, is anyone aware of any full band shows since Fete Du Bruit, or do we think that was the last so far?

I mean, it is worth noting that - despite Phil's death - there has been no announcement, ever, of the retirement of the band. It's also worth noting, thought, that neither the "Chevron Lives" show nor Shane's 60th brought a full band reunion. My guess would be there are no plans, but the door has been left open. Certainly, Shane's health - if nobody else's - would have to improve.

Nope. I think they might surprise us yet. I have a feeling 8)

Interesting-do you think Shane is capable at this point? (I know, I know we have been saying this for 30+ years) It seems like he has been wheelchair bound for awhile now.

Let's check the rest of them. The two "Americans" Spider and James seem fine. T Woods and Jem both looked good at the 60th. Cait is fine. That leaves Daryl and Andrew-any word on those two? I had read Daryl had been sick but this was a while ago.

Any thoughts? Will this reunion just be in Tip?

I've always had the vague hope that they might do something for the 30th anniversary year of IISFFGWG, which is this year, like they did for RS&L. But I very much doubt it now. To be honest I suspect you're right. If that's so, I would never have predicted that the last time I saw The Pogues would be, of all places, in Thetford Forest (that same summer of 2014).

Which was a bloody good gig, to be fair.

Do we think this was it - Fete Du Bruit Dans Landerneau in Landerneau on August 9, 2014?
I'm not aware of them doing any subsequent shows, and I think the chances of any in the future are virtually nil.
