But you do work on it (your tour journal), don't you, Mr.Fearnley?

Don't know why it's taken me so long coming round to reading your tour journal, probably the same reason it's taken so long to come round to writing my own. Fair play to you. I was so taken up with your single-mindedness of purpose this time last year, and it's great to read about your getting to the Brum gig this year. It's nice to be reminded of some of the details I'd forgotten, you know, things Shane and Spider said from the stage, that sort of thing. A lot of it can just swirl by when you're up there, arrantly showing off, like I do, and I'm glad of your putting it down for me in your piece of writing.

Cheers, folks! Yeah, I'd love to write some more sometime... and to have another attempt at meeting... but sadly I think that's my last gig for this tour. But once again, can't wait till the next time!

Thanks to Firehazard for the final instalment of this year's adventure; another excellent tale. I'm glad my sense of foreboding was unfounded, but am sorry we didn't get to meet up. Maybe next year...

Great reading, Firehazard! Maybe the cab driver read your previous installments and all the banging your head on the roof and getting lost in the tricky streets of Birmingham was done on purpose, to give you "cool" experiences to write about. ;) Thanks for the travelogue – hopefully not the last one.

I am delighted, and saddened, to point out that Firehazard's final installment is now available.

Go and read about a Rainy Night in Birmingham.

Brilliant! Surely nothing could fill you with such a sense of foreboding like Firehazard's final sentence.

I have this horrible mental picture of the Beaudelaire orphans awaiting their next disaster. I truly hope I'm wrong.......

I am delighted to announce that our very own Firehazard has updated his Travelpogue with another preamble. No longer must we be satisfied with a review of last year's tribulations - now we're all caught up with this year's preparations.

So go! Read! Be titillated by ominous suspense and enigmatic foreshadowing.

I'm sort of hoping to, Walshy, but it's not entirely in my hands... not sure yet what time we're likely to arrive in Brum.
(And after last year's fiasco, not taking anything for granted [crosses fingers etc.].)

Travelpogue conquers the world. :-D From http://www.punknews.org :

The band has also posted a "Travelpogue" on their website, an account by a community member documenting "the trials and tribulations he and his family endure as they make their way to The Pogues’ 2005 shows in Birmingham."

They also mention the US tour of "the oft-inebriated London/Irish folk punks". ;-)

I will be at the brum show and it would be great to meet and by a drink for such great fans. i was at last years and if this one is half as good it will be legendary.
