All the Glasgow Barrowlands gigs were excellent and I'll never forget the atmosphere at these gigs as long as I live!

1985.09.11 - Barrowlands Ballroom, Glasgow - Celtic manager Jock Stein died the night before the gig at the Scotland game, the crowd was fuckin amazing and the Pogues were on top form
1986.12.12 - Barrowlands Ballroom, Glasgow
1986.12.13 - Barrowlands Ballroom, Glasgow
1987.12.18 - Barrowlands Ballroom, Glasgow - First time Fairytale is played to a live audience
1987.12.19 - Barrowlands Ballroom, Glasgow
1987.12.17 - Barrowlands Ballroom, Glasgow
1990.10.01 - Barrowlands Ballroom, Glasgow - Guilford 4 were released the year before and Conlon was at this gig
1990.10.02 - Barrowlands Ballroom, Glasgow
1990.10.03 - Barrowlands Ballroom, Glasgow
1991.03.17 - Barrowlands Ballroom, Glasgow - Celtic beat Rangers 3 - 1 that Paddy's day afternoon so the band and crowd were on top form!

I wish I was allowed to post an MP3 sample of the atmosphere of some of these shows!

Fuck the 88 gig at the SECC! Shit venue, and I lost both my shoes at that gig so had to travel back to Edinburgh in the heavy snow in my bare feet.

Spider can be heard on the bootleg of this show saying "Thanx for the other shoe but we've still not got a matching pair yet"

Mine has to be one of the below

1) March 87 Liverpool Royal Court (went to loads of Pogues gigs up and down the country from 87-92 but this one stands out).

2)) March 2011 New York (cant remeber the location but it was in Hells Kitchen I think)

3) December 2008 (I think) Manchester Acadamy (I think it was here, it was the gig were Billy Bragg supported).

Actually it was March 88. Also the one I saw with Joe Strummer was a classic. I also saw one when Shane hadn't showed and everyone took turns in doing songs. At the time I was really disappointed but on reflection it was a brilliant gig with the band and fans all coming together.

The show in Portland in 2009 was terrible - well, Shane was terrible (he was drunk, but the band was great) - but watching Philip take the reins and lead the band through "Thousands..." was amazing. It was a highlight i'd missed in 2007 in Seattle, when he was absent, so that goes down as my favourite live moment. Although if i were honest, i'd say Shane came through towards the end of the night on "Rainy Night..." and lifted it to one of my favourite songs of all time, so that was pretty special.

Would have to be 2004 in Brixton. The year we had tickets for the Brum gig, I crashed the car on the way there, and we thought we'd missed out for that year.

The gigs at Brixton were all sold out, but we managed to grab some last minute tickets from a fan who couldn't go, and then cadged a lift with a bunch of Pogues fans who had to carry me and the wheelchair on and off their minibus.

And the band was great, of course. And Mr Woods did "Young Ned".

Electric Ballroom, Camden, December 1990. It was on a Monday night, they had played at Brixton the previous Friday. The EB gig was announced in the music press on the Wednesday and tickets were on sale at the Brixton box office after the gig there. It was great seeing them in a small venue, especially so close to having seen them somewhere bigger. Loads of the same faces in Camden as were at Brixton, there was a great atmosphere....Strummer was there, as was Kirsty (and she winked at me...bonus!). I managed to get a set list at the end, which I still have proudly framed.

Summer 2011 at Greenwich was great as well - glorious day, unique venue, The Buzzcocks supporting. Ended up chatting to a Brazilian dwarf on the DLR afterwards, lets face it that could only happen after a Pogues gig.

Paris 2012. Two shows for the dvd. Also Rum, Sodomy tour and my first Pogues gig - March 1988 Town & Country Club.

Non Pogues? Bruce Springsteen probably.
