The world is a big place indeed but as far as I know it only has one portlaoise. Shane macgowan has played there many times.

Looks like we won't be seeing the Pogues live too soon so in ththe meantime there's a tribute act called poguetry in motion playing the square bar in Portlaoise tomorrow (sat 25) night:-)
