As I sit here on this March 17 reminiscing of many fine nights of Pogues shows over 25 Years, some just last week....
I wanted to express gratitude if Pogues eyes should happen to fall upon these words : To my life you truly added happiness & richness and a deeper appreciation of Irish History through your gifted music.
I also wanted to share with you, my favorite poem by Robert Frost that conveys,to me what it feels like that I may never see the likes of you gracing our stages in the states....
NOTHING GOLD CAN STAY
Robert Frost written 1920
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
Stay GOLD Pogues!
