Beacon Theater NYC 1991

The opening show for the 1991 tour at the Beacon in NYC was incredible. The atmosphere was amazing, people running onstage and hugging the band, everyone tossing their hats onstage, it was a great party. My buddy and I climbed up behind the left PA stack and watched part of the show from there, then went down front for the end, pounding on the stage and sweating like crazy. Still got the tour t-shirt from that show.
The security for the 2nd night was much tighter, no climbing up onstage. But no matter, nothing could top the first night. Hung out after the 2nd night and got Philip's and Strummer's autographs. Both of them very friendly and welcoming. Got to tell Joe how much I liked the "Walker" soundtrack, he appreciated that.
