it's a good six weeks since the show but songs i can remember are streams of whiskey, boys from the county hell, white city, turkish song (awesome!) thousands are sailing, tuesday morning, repeal of the licensing laws (awesome again!), rainy night in soho, dirty old town, greenland whale fisheries, roddy maccorley (did the pogues ever do that?) and sally maclennane.

yeah, i was. it was fucking awesome. i only wish i could have made the second show as well, a friend told me it was even better. i spoke to spider briefly.he said he was having a really good time playing with the tossers. i thought they were a great backing band for him, they did some fucking good versions of dirty old town, repeal of the licenccing laws, white city, tuesday morning, rainy night in soho, boys from the county hell, thousands are sailing etc etc couldn't help but make comparisons to the last time i saw shane and the popes...maybe shane should think about hooking up with some younger guys, there was so much more energy with spider and the tossers.
