The pogues at glasto next year would be great ,a headline slot on the west holts stage on saturday night.
or a surprise slot in the park area or just turn up and play a few tunes at strummerville area.

I've done Glasto six times, though not since 2007. I don't WANT the Pogues to play Glasto, because if they do I'd have to go again, which is all too much hassle really...

Though in a parallel universe, it would be fucking amazing to see my favourite band in my favourite place on the whole planet.

The Boot of the '86 show is pretty excellent.

I honestly don't know. We generally only get to hear about the offers that our management consider are worth discussing.

That would be no then ha ha

I found 12 songs from glastonbury '86 on youtube.
type in...The Pogues Glastonbury 1986-Poor Paddy (for example) and you'll find 'em all.

I was there, my second Pogues gig, mental, the barrier at the front was in danger of collapse and i have the live recording on a tape i bought after the gig, i've just got home from this years Glasto, saw the Popes on the Avalon stage, nice set. They opened with Rock and roll paddy they did church of the holy spook, sleepless nights, holloway boulevard and ended with a cover of Galway girl, great gig
I also saw Hobo Jones and the junkyard dogs, who did Sally Mac and the Irish Rover
Still a bit of the Pogues at Glastonbury, totally different festival now though, much more organised, you actually have to pay to get in :D

I was at this one, if I remember correctly it was a very wet year, in fact it was the last Glastonbury I went to and it turns out that Mrs Smoz was there too though we didn't actually meet for another six years. There is a decent recording of the set available on the interweb (in fact I am listening to it right now), can't remember where I found it but I imagine a little googling would find it easily enough.

Yes - it was the first time I saw them and I was smitten on the spot! I think it would have been 1986. I was living in small-town Wiltshire at the time and remember the frustration of having to get the town's one tiny record shop, which had two speeds (slow and stalled) to order albums for me!
