We'd love to play NZ or Australia, but none of the serious offers we've had in the past ten years have been able to match the economic reality of what it takes to bring an eight piece band, plus crew, on a tour of so distant a territory. It requires a schedule, not just "one concert" to justify the expense, but you live in a very big country and our time for traversing it, flying out to a gig in the morning and playing it that night has long since passed. We are much older than we ever meant to be and insist upon the creature comforts survival earns.
I've just realised you weren't even born last time we played Oz!
