Hi Rich,

I don't think I can help you here as I'm pretty sure that I didn't go to this as I was a student in Manchester between 1991 and 1994 and I never went to a single Pogues gig during that time as far as I can remember. I did go to one gig at the Royal Court in the early nineties, but cannot remember what date it was and I can't get into the cabinet where I keep all my old ticket stubs to check as the drawer has been stuck fast for over a year (I don't want to force it open as it's an old cabinet).

All I remember about the gig I went to was I took several friends from Flanagan's and told them The Pogues were good live. Shane was still playing with them at that stage and it was the period where he kept wandering off stage and leaving the boys to get on with things on their own. It wasn't a good gig to say the least and my friend's thought the band were rubbish and swore they'd never see them again. I think personally it was probably the year before as I remember being about 21 and it was the same group of friends who came for the meal at the Casa Italia for my 21st birthday celebrations, but without seeing the old ticket stub I can't say for definite.

Hi

Anyone have an clear memories of this gig? (Phil I dont expect you to mate as the many millions of gigs youve played would make it near impossible). I have my memories of this all mixed up. As discussed in a previous post about when Shane left the band I could have sworn that Shane played in this gig as it was the night out for my 21st birthday however quite rightly it has been proved that Shane had well left the band by then. The funny thing is im pretty sure Joe never played as I only saw Joe with the Pogues once and that was in Manchester so im pretty confused ha ha.
