I'd love to see/hear some stuff from then but its not exactly easy to get your hands on. Just wondering what have people seen or heard and what they thought of the band during this time.
I only saw the Pogues live once in this period, at the Clapham Grand, if memory serves correctly this was a benefit gig for Philip Hall who was the bands press officer. It was a notable gig for several reasons not least the fact that Shane joined the band for a few songs, I believe that this was the first time he performed with the Pogues since he left in 1991, and the only time he did so until the first reunion proper in 2001.
The line up was a little unusual, opening act was John Shuttleworth and the headliners were the Manic Street Preachers (original four piece line up with Richie) who were joined by Bernard Butler, then of Suede.
PoguesLive.com shows that this gig took place on on 2nd March 1994 and that "Terry Woods and James Fearnley have left the band by this time. The Pogues are now: Spider Stacy (vocals), Jem Finer (banjo), Philip Chevron Guitar), Andrew Ranken (drums), Darryl Hunt (bass), David Coulter (mandolin), James McNally (accordian)".
