Porsgrunn is not so far from my hometown, so this would be extremely good news, if they come true. I'll keep my fingers crossed, but I won't hold my breath.

My guess is that the ticket price will be around 40-50£. This is quite normal for a concert here in Norway.

Thank's for the warm welcome mr.Chevron! :) Yes the ticketprises here is quite high, I don't know exsactly what a English pund is in Norwegian crowns but I think that 40-50 pund might be close. But we are a small country and it's probably ecspencive to get big artists over here (I'm not going to pretend I know anything about the music industry ;) Still, when a great band comes around it becomes more of a event, and then offcorse people are willing to pay more :) Some Norwegians probably use more money on beer during the conserts than they pay for the tickets anyway ;) Well, If you guys don't come over there's always the boat :) I'm gonna see a Pogues consert someday anyway!

Well, according to "Aftenposten", Norway is the most expensive place to live anyway

This quoting funktion is like some sort of chainletter only getting longer and longer ;) But I'm new in this forum anyway so I just leave the previous message there. So great to see the band actually takes time to answer the questions themselves. I was just wondering if it's sertain that you guys are coming to Norway? It would be a blast to have you over! And is all the original band members going to attend? I hope you are well again mr Chevron, and fit to come back and do your magic :) And offcorse the standard question, Is Shane coming? Now that I have finally seen Dubliners as they had a great consert here last summer, the only band we haven't had the honor to have over is Pogues... I'm looking forward to next year in exitement!

If we ever develop plans to play in Norway again, you will be among the first to know. Welcome to Medusa.

Eamonn O `Reilly in Artur Management, who are based at Huk, would like to have a band that Waterboys and The Pogues on the stage in the water, by Rådhustrappen. He hopes the plans go in the box next summer.
Porsgrunn have a great potential, according to Irish Eamonn O `Reilly. Next summer, he will place the band as The Pogues and the Waterboys on a makeshift stage in the Porsgrunnselva.
The Pogues is everything in the box, and Artur Management are working to get the Waterboys to play in the water. To break even, the artists must withdraw from 2000 to 3000 spectators.

Parts concerning the Pogues are translated with Google

Lemme see if I understand this - the Waterboys will play in the water while the Pogues play in the box? Another expat Paddy fancies his chances of booking the Pogues by the sheer hard-neck tactic of informing the media of his plans? We'll see.
