I've got a Yamaha FG-325 acoustic, that I've had for almost 30 years. It's survived many trips, extreme temperature changes, and being dinged on the rocks on the shore of the Bay of Fundy. It's always stayed in tune, and the action is as nice as the day I first picked it up in 1977. Great guitar, highly recommended. That being said - any guitar you end up with will be a personal choice. Sometimes an expensive guitar will just not feel right, and the cheap one hanging from a dusty shelf in a pawn shop will be the one you take home.
