Rejected Records will this month release a Radiators LP and EP on limited edition vinyl. Vintage recordings from the 1976 and 1977 line-ups of the band, they have never before been released.
The album is THE RADIATORS LIVE AT THE KURSAAL SOUTHEND, DECEMBER 1977 and documents the final show of the 1977 Thin Lizzy/Radiators from Space UK tour. It will be pressed on yellow vinyl and is packaged with a free Poster at a budget price.
The 4-track EP contains the band's first ever studio recordings, from October 1976, and usually referrred to as THE MIDNITE DEMO. It features, among other things, the very earliest draft of "Television Screen" with different lyrics to the subsequent 1977 single and album and 2004 EP recordings. The session was done at Trend Studios Dublin and was produced by Jackie Hayden and Horslips drummer Eamon Carr. On the strength of these recordings, or perhaps despite them, the Rads signed to Chiswick Records before they had even played their first gig.
