Oirish, I honestly cannot remember what I was playing at the Meteor Awards, but there is a strong likelihood it was my Martin Dreadnought Electro-Acoustic, a guitar I am especially fond of and have been using with both The Pogues (live) and the Radiators (studio) since 2004. I consider it my main Pogues guitar and if I am pictured just as often with my Gibson Tennessean, it is probably because photographers are only permitted to photograph 3 of the first 4 numbers: by the time they get to me, it's often for "Turkish Song Of The Damned" which, apart from "Tuesday Morning" and "White City", is the only appearance it makes. The only other guitar I use on stage is the old Godin electro-acoustic [though it looks more like a Telecaster] which was my main guitar in the early 1990s. I now only use it on "Sunnyside Of The Street" or as a back-up to the Martin if I break a string.
