I didn't know this. Eldest daughter has just acquired a ukulele. I have to tell her now, she'll love it. 8)

Are you sure? A ukulele almost begs to be played in the "Lust For Life" rhythm.

That's a cool fact! I'm trying to learn ukulele myself but I can't see the link with lust for life...

This one is in A. You are on the right track if you transpose. I bet you would like to hear it first hand from Philip and I think he could give you a much better transcription so I'll leave it up to him. If he ever finds his guitar again..

Oh, it's not that I'm short of guitars.....just that I am currently chaperoning a soprano ukulele. It's not my instrument of choice but it seems like a good idea to grasp its essentials before I introduce it to whoever will be playing it in The Silver Tassie in August. Besides, Iggy and Bowie wrote "Lust For Life" on a ukulele (True). :)

philipchevron wrote:Hmm. Well, yes.............as you say............very long time.............

I'll need to take a look at it when I get back to my guitar (next week) and see whether you've cracked the code or not. If it helps at all, it's essentially the same song (or chord structure at least) as "My One And Only", which was recorded at the same session though, as I recall, I played lead guitar on that, not rhythm, which might have been Mark Nevin.

Ooops! Sorry John, I forgot. Next week.

All The Tears That I Cried...

Just a quick question Mr C... I was listening to All The Tears That I Cried on the iPod the other night and thought it would be a cool song to learn - it sounded pretty easy so I went looking for the chords on the internet - to no avail - I couldn't find them ANYWHERE so I decided I'd just try and figure it out.

I started playing it in G and figured out the verses are all G-C-G-D and the first part of the chorus (the "I'll get fooled like the last time...") sounds like like C-Bm-C#m but I cannot figure out for the life of me what comes next..

I realise it's probably been a (VERY) long time since you've played this but if you have any ideas, I'd really appreciate it...

Thank you sir...
