James - apologies to ask you to be a messenger!!.... last year on a bit of a mission to prove to my 13 year old niece that I did remember what it was like to be young (after she said I didn't understand her need to meet a famous Aussie musician of the country music persuasion (she lives in Oz).. and offended at the inuendo that I was old.... I flew from London (actually Bordeaux) to your Cranky show in LA....(you might remember my friend who came in from Paris for the show as well). I had told my niece I would hand deliver my first labeled red wine to Dermot Mulroney......as part of the whole proof that 40+ woman can still have the occassional teenage whim...and 2 trips from Europe to LA, and a few thousand airmiles accumulated....she has reminded me that I never did actually make good on the commitment...I ended up delivering my neighbours wine since mine was not ready yet....
So, now that my 2006 is ready (although it needs to lay for a few years before tasting)...I'd love to quieten her digs at me by 'shipping' a case to the CGT (yes..maybe I am too old to hand deliver....getting meetings in the US to coincide with your schedule seems a bit much to prove to a 13 year old)..
So, if its not too much of a waste of your time and yu feel compelled to help me out with a 13year old... (I will drop in a nice supply of the 1999 Bordeaux for your immediate consumption....its pre-my owning the grapes but the best year to date)....where can I ship it to? A venue? .... Not that I don't want to see you guys perform again... love the music.... but I'd rather not be branded a stalker by flying half way around the world again just to prove a point to a 13 year old!... although if you play at Molly Malones in Bordeaux that would be a different story!.....anyway.. you probably know the set up in France... the chateau produces the wine and the land/vine owner gets a few bottles in return....so hence the private label....and there began the discussion of delivering it to a favoured musician!.....of course when I was a kid my best friend wrote 180 000 times the sentence .. please may we meet you when you perform in Sydney.....directed at KISS......things seemed so much easier back then!... :-)
