well, she got a nickle one on may 1. maybe wood or plastic next year. we also got her a month of lessons from the talented allison jenkins, of local bands the
flying folk army and
zeelia.

a while back she came out of her room playing some song on the whislte she knew she knew, but couldn't place. i recognized it right off, it was
guns of navarone, by the skatalites (albeit in the key of d). what's really wild about that is it hadn't been on the stereo in a couple of months, but had been working away in her subconsious, and then just popped out one morning. so we firgured she deserved some lessons to get better, before she goes to a one week fiddle camp, where she'll also be able to do some whistle classes.
meanwhile, i'm struggling to squeak out
