I read that this is a hardcore punk side-project of Spider's. Can anyone tell me about it, where to get information or where to get a listen?

At the moment i've got three albums on the go, none anywhere near complete. To be honest it's difficult to get down to anything whilst there is Pogues stuff going on, but I will get it all out eventually because it's fun to do and I think my songs are fucking great.

Solo album?

Spider Stacy is one of my favourite vocalists. Like, ever. Sure, his tin whistle playing's great and made me try to learn the bastard thing, but Spider has a great Joe Strummer / Iggy Pop voice with a style instantly recognisable as his own. Add to this writing of such downright great songs that seem to have been written with instantly appealing to me in mind like Tuesday Morning, Better Than Anything and Louise.
I know fuck all about the geezer, seeing as I've never had the chance to meet him and stitched together what I know from the Lost Decade and interviews, (like any fan knows fuck all about their heroes) but I like and respect him from what I do know.
So, I know Pogues Whistle Player pops round these parts every so often and I was wondering how the chances of an album from our Peter were and some thoughts as to how it would sound...?

EDIT: So I read the Vendettas thread, and it's looking to be really good. 2007 still looking a good time, or should I stop holding my breath?

Vendettas (not Wisemen!)

Spider, I saw you with The Vendettas just the once but was blown away. Also came to countless gigs when you were fronting The Pogues and it would be great to see you gigging again. Pull your lazy finger out!!

I also have a bunch of new stuff that i should record at some point. i am very, very lazy...

i have only got into the pogues quite recently mainly due to my age (17). i have never seen them, just shane & the popes in croydon, which was a bit disappointing really. does anyone know if spider plays live in the uk? and if he does, does he do any pogues stuff? or am i going to have to wait for this elusive reunion?

spider & the vendettas

i managed to pick up a cd with a lot of unreleased demos by spider on it. outstanding songs were 'better than anything' and 'you bring me round' which although very very different to the pogues is fantastic. i dont understand why he doesnt get this stuff released or if he can't be bothered why doesnt he just put it up on his website for us to download?
