I remember seeing the Sex Pistols play at the then Great Woods outside of Boston. This was probably some time in the late 90s (something like the
"We're Only in it for the Money Tour"). Anyways, there were a bunch of young punks upfront spitting on Johnny Rotten. Of course, he gave them some
withering putdowns and threatened to stop the show.

He certainly did, though I think it was just ONE particularly infected gob that went right down into his throat that caused the hepatitis. That has always been the main source of my own revulsion. Joe suffered the consequences of that incident, on and off, his whole life. Hep doesn't go away.

Back in the day i went to see The Stranglers (76/77) Some "punk" in the crowd gobbed in the face of bass player Jean Jacques burnell(spelling!!) He jumped straight off the stage and battered the guy...... :lol:
