Crap, now I regret leaving the Jamm a couple of hours before Shane performed. I was beat that night. Anyways.. ARGH! Next time, for sure.

Usual story - you give girl a thrash, she begins to sulk, you begin to wank. Luckily it doesnt last for too long, either she quits sulking or you find another lass.. Do not worry for Paul. He is Ok now

Well this time the risk was totally worth it (The Jamm). Even though I wouldn´t have had anything else to do anyway..

Shane won't be doing a 3 hr set but he will have you dancing for a couple . The popes and some other bands will also be playing and to top it all off the bar is open til 6.30 am.Not sure if there many tickets left for the jamm though

Shane has been approached so it does have a certain validity but as i mentioned before whether or not he turns up is anyones guess and certainly should not be taken as a given. I only have to wave a copy of Brokeback Mountain (or The Passion of the Christ) in his face and he'll be in my fucking hotel room for the next 15 hours watching it on a loop..

Now that has the ring of authenticity!

On the Jamm site they promise: "The Pogues are heading a short stumble down the road to JAMM to continue the party...", calling the party (as well as ticketweb.co.uk, visitlondon.com and other sites do) "The Pogues OFFICIAL After Party". If neither the band nor the management have anything to do with the event shouldn’t the organizers be a bit more careful with using the name of the band when luring fans to their party? Did the band’s official representatives contact the organizers or promoters? For the moment, their promo is much more widespread than the band’s "save your money" words of wisdom...

In fairness, no enterprise which makes the mistake of picturing the Pogues taking a "short stumble" down the road after a two hour show is ever going to have the ring of authenticity now, is it? That's not to say a fabulous time will not be had by all those who do attend, especially if it adequately fulfils a need to keep the party going. You won't find me within a short hop away, much less a short stumble.
