Shane knows!
But you didnt try and balance your cam on your head, did you? ;)

Was your kid accepted?

No, did'nt try the camera on head trick...i've already lost far too many cameras this way and i want to start off the new year on a good foot.

I did'nt bring the little fella in the end, which was just as well i think-the music was too loud for little ears and the crowd probably too rowdy, you know how timid us Dubs can be.

"Absolute madness", according to the good soul who uploaded the video. :)

No wonder, with free champagne bar..

Noel! Colin has uploaded Donegal gig pics to his gallery.

Paul! Hope you finally made to Wexford.

I made it! Great craic in wexford on new years night...seemed like a full house,or very nearly a full house. The crowd was really rowdy, in a good way....shane came on and get a great job, but this time for me the true highlight was joey cashmans dance moves while playing that whistle of his....priceless. Shane did his customary glass on head trick and some dance moves of his own. The other musicians were spot on too...the version of "land down under" in particular.

Shane looks great! Rolling up his sleeves as if to say "let's get this done" - then nailing it perfectly. I could almost feel the swell and pulse of the crowd as the camera was knocked around. Usually these crowd-shot videos are crap and barely watchable, but for some reason this one held my attention right through. Stellar performance by Shane and Sharon Shannon

Looking forward to more of your reports and pics from the Sharon/Shane gigs. :) Have fun!

I'm probably doing something wrong. I'm in an awful state after a few days drinking.

we had a great night in Donegal Town.

Sharon Shannon alone was worth the entrance fee.

Dublin rambler.

I tried replying to your PM but am having no luck.

If there's drink being served on the premises, children are not normally allowed after 9pm. I'd check with the venue.

I've been at two of these gigs and I'd reckon the age group is anything from 18 to 80. A bit like your average Pogues show.
